Nepal Mother House provided a brilliant service and support for our trek around the Manaslu circuit and exploring the Tsum Valley in October. Karna and our guide Bibek's understanding and knowledge of the area meant that we could be flexible with planning to take account of weather and availability but we were always confident that we would have somewhere to sleep and good food and warm hospitality. Beebek proved himself a very good cook as well as supportive in our walking (sometimes hard at altitude) and always full of information about the area and people. Both our porters, Prashek and Dinesh were also supportive, hard working and great fun to be with. The three of us (myself, daughter Jess and friend Danielle) felt quite bereft when we parted at Besisahar to travel to Pokhara. would definitely recommend the team and the agency.

Had a blast in Nepal, when traveling with NMH treks. The weather wasnt so good in june but had a few good clear days on the Gokyo Lakes Trek, and Kapi went to the peaks a few times ahead of me to make sure there was a view, so I didn't have to climb it, and be disappointed.

At the Gokyo peak I had altitude sickness and had to be helicopter lifted back to Kathmandu. Karna accompanied me a night in the hospital. That by far is the most a tour company has ever gone, that I have encountered. So thank you so much! I highly recommend NMH treks for their service!

We used Nepal Mother House for the Everest Base Camp trek in May and i could not have asked for a better experience. Our guide Kapil was excellent and looked after us very well, along with speaking great English. All aspects of the trek were taken care of including flights to and from Lukla, porter who was strong, kind and friendly, accommodation at each lodge and all meals breakfast lunch and dinner each day. In the months leading up to the trek, Karna replied and answered all of our inquiries and questions through email and also looked after us if we needed anything from lending us a Nepalese mobile phone to showing us around Thamel and bargaining for us during our shopping trips. Highly recommend going with this trekking company :)

We used Nepal Mother House for a 21 day March trip around Mt. Manasalu and up into Tsum valley. Karna was very quick and thorough in his responses to queries in advance of the trip. Bibek our guide and Sitaram our porter were both great fun to spend 21 days with and always very helpful. Bibek was extremely knowledgeable; he could be replied upon to know the height and name of every peak and when other guides were unsure whether certain teahouses and towns would be open (due to snowy weather) he always seemed to have inside knowledge on where to find the best open place! Great trip, excellent value, and a couldn't recommend more highly.

During the 8 months we were planning our trip, Karna patiently answered all of our questions in a very timely manner. He arranged everything, including transportation, getting all the necessary permits, helping us change money, and of course providing a guide and porters. His price was very reasonable and fair. We are two of a group of 12 people from Australia. We are both in our 60's. Our guide, Mr. Karna (our tour operator of Nepal Mother House Treks), and his staff were kind and professional, and they helped make the trip to Gokyo Chola Pass the best it could be for us. Hi, I used Nepal Mother House Tours for two trips when I was in Nepal last Summer. First we did a 10 day trip to Langtang National Park. The guide, logistical setup and gave great advice on what to bring on the trip. We had a great time About a month later I set up another trip to Upper Mustang. We were gone 18 days and it required much more planning. Again, they gave me great advice, set me up with an outstanding guide , took care of all of the trip logistics and we had a trip of a lifetime. The other thing I can say about Karna is that he is a man of integrity, he punctual and organize a great trip for you at a fair price. Nepal is a tough place for travel and prepare and expect the unexpected ...but it can be a life changing event

This was my first time in Nepal. I went with a friend who had been many times before. We chose Nepal Mother trekking because of their professional and courteous staff. My friend had used them before, and believe me they were great. We took a 25 day trek starting in Arughat Bazar up the Tsum valley, then back to the Manaslu Circuit up over Larkya La (5160 meter) high pass and down to Besi Sahar. The guide (and Owner) was great. He dealt with changing conditions on the trek, found us really nice places for overnight, and was very helpful on the trek. We did homestays in the Tsum Valley and he found us comfortable accommodations. These overnight stays really allowed us to get to know how the local people lived. We were able to communicate with them through the guide and find out about their families, their culture and their way of life. Just the experience of that part of the trip was worth the whole trip.

Karna (the guide) kept track of changing weather conditions along the route, and had us acclimated well by the time we reached the higher elevations. Even though I brought with me medicine for elevation sickness I did not have any need for it, since our guide did have us acclimated. To be honest I had never been that high in altitude and was very worried about that part of the trip, but like I said it was not any problems at all. The porters that the company hired were extremely helpful and friendly. We ended up learning several Nepalese card games and enjoyed playing them with the porters and the guide.

For anyone planning a trek I would highly recommend checking out Nepal Mother House. I was lucky to have such a great company for my first trek and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience for their trek.

When I plan to visit Nepal for the Everest Base Camp Trek, I browsed through the numerous 'Trek operators' in the net and Nepal Mother House stands out among the rest. there is good reasons for choosing Nepal Mother House - fast responds for all my queries. When everything was set, I was in Kathmandu with Mr Karna Rana himself at the Airport to meet me, a surprise indeed. Even though I was trekking solo, he provided me with an English speaking Guide and a strong porter. The three of us got along very well through out the Everest Base Camp Trek (14 days).

I am satisfied with the whole trip and the package which was tailored to my requirements. For the extraordinary service, I am returning again to Nepal for the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp Trek in March, 2013.

If considering trekking in the Himalayas, I would strongly recommend contacting Karna at the Nepal Mother House. This adventure company is very professional and Karna has a wonderful manor.

Initially we had arranged only a porter and guide through The Nepal Mother House. The connecting flights to Lukla and accommodation were arranged elsewhere. When we arrived in Kathmandu, we were informed that our flights were cancelled, this had a knock on affect on our accommodation arrangements and we were having difficulties with making alternate arrangements.

When we went to Karna's office to explain our dilemma, he took full responsibility of the situation and arranged all of our trekking necessities (and gave us tea).

We found ourselves with extra days in Kathmandu due to the changes so Karna kindly took us on a tour of the Temples and the city highlights and ensured we had an excellent experience of Kathmandu as well as the trek to Everest base camp.

His spoken English is excellent, which is priceless when you find yourself in the overwhelming City of Kathmandu.
