Karna Rana, of Nepal Mother House was is great guy. He arranged a good itinerary of Annapurna Short Trek and was flexible with the plans. He came to pick us up personally. Charges, I felt were appropriate and there no hidden charges.
Our guide Subarna and porter Ishwar were amazing. Subarna, really managed to motivate and makes kids walk and climb. Kids liked them too( they are picky)

We 10 people from Singapore just completed our 12-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek through Poon Hill in Nepal and I am already missing everything about it! Nepal Mother House Trek was very approachable when I first contacted them. Karna would always reply almost immediately. The trek scheduled was manageable and we enjoyed our time with the porters and guides Shabut and Jaya. There were lovely and always around to assist us. I would highly recommend Nepal Mother House Trek!

David and I trekked the 10 days Annapurna Circuit in April 2019 with Nepal Mother House Trek with the help, advice and encouragements of Subarna as a guide and Biraj as a porter.

We were simply delighted with our whole experience!

Though we met some bad luck during the first part of our trek (a very bad case of flu for my friend, for instance) Subarna managed quite smartly to adapt our program day by day and it is thanks to him that we eventually succeeded in crossing Thorong La Pass all together!

He always sought what was best for us (best rooms, best places to rest, etc.) and we were swept away by his politeness, kindness and also by his excellent English. He very patiently answered all our questions about Nepal or other topics, we can't recommend him enough as a guide and companion.
It was also extremely pleasant to witness the complicity between Subarna and Biraj whose good mood is contagious, they enjoy working together and I think the four of us made a nice team!

Then you just have to love all the little attentions that Karna and his staff had for us, up until our very last day in Katmandu, one week after the end of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, he still managed to make us feel warmly welcome in his lovely country (and slightly ashamed that we were on so short a vacation haha) !

I did the Langtang-Helambu 18-day trek with Nepal Mother House in April 2019, a month before turning 70, and wouldn’t have missed it for the world – the most beautiful scenery on earth, IMHO. You certainly can do this on your own and save a little money. But it was worth it to me to have Jayaram, my combination guide and porter, carry most of my gear and handle the logistics as we went along. All I had to do was follow in his footsteps. We ran into weather – snow while ascending towards Laurebina Pass – and he had the knowledge and experience I lacked to decide to press ahead. We encountered a number of hazardous snow fields on our descent, and my guide gave me the confidence to cross them. (Hiking in the Sierra back home, I would have turned around.) I’m in good condition, and I didn’t find the Langtang Valley with Helambu hiking especially difficult. The living conditions were another matter. Do your research before going. Karna, the tour organizer, was easy to deal with and responded promptly to my inquiries before the trip.

All the connections in Nepal went smoothly. My tour did not include Kathmandu sightseeing, which Karna arranged separately for me. I found it a little pricey; you can probably book something there cheaper. Have an itinerary ready of what you want to see in the city. The NMH office is just down the block from the little hotel they put me up in. It’s all very much above-board and transparent to a visiting Westerner. I found the many Nepalese people I encountered, without exception, very warm and friendly. And loved the Dal Bhat! They’ll keep filling your plate with rice and lentils and veggies until you’re stuffed.

We really loved the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek with Karna’s team - Ashok (guide) and Biraz (porter). We can only highly recommend their service, responsiveness and attention to detail. We have compared various agencies before choosing this one and are very happy. We also saw other guides on the trek and are certain now that we had the best. The company is also fair in terms of prices, guide was knowledgeable and we felt that we are in good hands. Next trip only with them!

I recently completed the NMH (Nepal Mother House Treks) 15 day Tsum Valley trek with guide Suman Magar. Tsum Valley is a beautiful enclave of Tibetan Culture. Thank you to Karna for his professional organization of the trek and the caring efforts of Suman in making every day enjoyable. The approach to this area is changing quickly as the Nepalese government blast a road high song the side of the Buddi Gandaki River towards Larke Pass. Once you detour from the crowded approach to Manaslu, you get a sense of the wild nature of the gorge that restricted access to Tsum for generations, as settlement was established via the Tibetan plateau. NMH is great organization for trekking in Nepal, and Karna is flexible with arrangements or changes that you wish to make. His honesty and efficiency was appreciated.

It was amazing; I really enjoyed the Chisapani Nagarkot trekking and my favorite place was Chisopani. The scenery was out of this world and the sun coming up in the morning brought a tear to my eye. Thanks to Guide Sabut. Without him, I don't think we would have made it. Thank you Karna for all your help and great advice. We hope to come back again.

We contacted Karna to organise our 14 days hike to the Manaslu circuit. Karna is really nice and we appreaciated our exchanges. Their price was very competitive.

We usually like to hike on our own so we were a bit afraid of leaving with a guide.

However we left for 14 days with Subarna. Subarna is just the best guide you can dream of. He is a smart person with lot of humour. He knows very well this walk and he has many contacts on the way (this might be very usefull). Subarna is always very professional : punctual, he will always be very carefull of your well being, he doesnt drink and doesnt smoke. He speaks very well english. With Subarna there will be no problems only solutions. He is lovely and you can only spend a great time with him.

We couldnt finish the manaslu because of the snow, however we loved our Manaslu Circuit Trek. We can only recommend you to go with Subarna.

I travelled with NMH Treks and they were absolutely wonderful! Everything was organised without hassle and our guides were professional and had a wealth of knowledge of the areas and history. I fell ill during the Everest Base Camp Trip and the medical attention I received was swift and of high quality. The manager of the company even came to visit me in hospital on my return to Kathmandu! Although my time on the hike was cut short, other members continued on to have a wonderful experience hiking the Himalayas. I would definitely recommend this trekking company!
