Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:Drive Pokhara to Sudame (1,160m)/ Hile/Ulleri via Nayapul (1,010m) – 3 to 4 hours and trek to Ghorepani (2,840m) – 6 to 7 hours

Day 01 : Drive Pokhara to Sudame (1,160m)/ Hile/Ulleri via Nayapul (1,010m) – 3 to 4 hours and trek to Ghorepani (2,840m) – 6 to 7 hours This is your first day of the trip. As there is road acessable, this trek starts at Sudame/Tikhedhunga (1160m) / Ulleri (1960m) after 3 to 4 hours driving by private/Public vehicle from Pokhara through the Nayapul (1,010m) the road goes along the banks of the Modi Khola and large village that has many shops and teahouses. The main inhabitants of this village are Gurung, Magar and Thakali. Then, the road cross the bridge at Birethanti and following the bank of the Bhurungdi Khola through villages till Sudame (1160m), Hille (1,495m), Tikhedhunga (1570m) and Ulleri. Today’s walk offers a short and comparatively easy day, during the journey allowing us to get the full experience of trekking in Nepal. If you drive till Ulleri, you do not need struggle a steep climbing to large Magar village at Ulleri (1,960m). Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through dense forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti (2250m). Occasionally, we can see Langur monkey (long tail black mouth Monkey) jumping in the trees and encounter dear and wild goat. Then we trek towards Nangethanti (2,460m), after an hour walk we arrive at Ghorepani (2840m), a piece of paradise 360 degree mountains view. Stay overnight at a tea house.

Day 02 : Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210m) view point - 45 minutes, then trek back to Tikhedhunga – 4 to 5 hours, & drive to Pokhara (950m) – 2 to 3 hours To see magical mountains view with sun rise, you will hike about 45 minutes up to Poon Hill (3210m) early in the morning. This viewpoint provides an unobstructed and beautiful view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas with panoramic view giants Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna (8,091m), Machhapuchere, Nilgiri, Hiuchuli, South Annapurna etc more than ten mountains. Additionally we can see a network of other peaks, slowly beginning to appear like magic before our eyes. We come back to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast and start walk back to Ulleri or Thikhedhunga drive to Pokhara. Stay overnight at Hotel.

  • As a woman you should always be dressed avoiding provocation, so keep shoulders and legs covered.
  • It is very polite to give and accept with your right hand, and even more so when you use your left hand for supporting the elbow of your right hand.
  • When in doubt how to behave in certain situations; keep a low profile, do not shout and keep your dignity.
  • It is better not to touch offerings or persons when they are on way to shrines.
  • Beef is prohibited among both the Hindus and Buddhists. No female animal is killed for food.
  • You may not be allowed entry to the inner sanctuaries of temples and Stupas.
  • You may be interested to take snaps of temples, Stupas and monuments. Generally temples, Stupas and monuments are permitted to be photographed, but it is better to have permission before using your cameras.
