Annapurna is most popular trekking destination for every travel from every corner of the world.  Where can do short trip for couple days to above 4 weeks, traveler who is physically fitness and mentally well preparation, we organize 6 days Annapurna Base Camp. Trekkers who have short holiday in Nepal but still want to see amazing mountains scenery, glacier and unique culture; this will be ideal trip for them.

ABC Short trip begins from beautiful touristic city Pokhara after scenic short flight from capital city Kathmandu. Then, you will drive to Siwa (1230m) just below the Ghandruk and Landruk at bank of Modi Khola through the Phedi, Naudanda, Kade, Lumle, Nayapul, Birethanti, and Syaulibazaar. From here your Annapurna Sanctuary trip starts for 6 days. At the begging the trail goes along the Modi Khola bank until New Bridge and ascending through the jungle and scattered houses cross wooden bridge on Kimrong Khola to the Jhinu Danda. Often you have might Mountain View and amazing landscape with rice terrace.  Walking to the Chomrong village, where inhabited by mostly Gurung ethnic group. Most of the village have mini hydro power station by community running. There are many ups and down walking to the Sinuwa, Bmbo, Dobhan and Himalaya. The valley becomes narrow by gigantic mountains Machhapuchhre and Hiuchuli, still you will peers mountains scenery often. Below the Himalaya Hotel, there is a temple known as Pujinima Baraha, where you can see beautiful water fall coming from bottom of the Mt. Fishtail. The local believe there are 108 different waterfalls. Above this temple to Annapurna Base Camp is known as Annapurna Sanctuary, sacrifice or kill any animal are not prohibited. Even any kind of plastic bottle and rubbishes are prohibited in this area, every teahouses selling boiling filter water for drink. Nearby Deurali there is a cave name as Hinku Cave, where the porters used to sleep at early trekking time. During the spring season before Deurali to MBC is more risk for the avalanches.  We advise you to talk this part before sunshine. Sometime you will encounter Musk Deer and Himalayan Goat/ Jharal near by tea houses. Finally you will get in Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m), there are several tea houses for overnight stay. You have magnificent view of Annapurna III (7,219m),  Machhapuchhre  known as Fishtail (6,643m), Mardi Himal (5,553m) etc.

Then you will walk to Annapurna Base camp an elevation of 4,130 meters from sea level.  ABC is just beside to the Annapurna Glacier; often you will hear hound of avalanches and glacier movement. From here to Annapurna Base Camp, we’ll walk upon 2 hours of trail offering wonderful Himalaya scenery like: Hiunchuli (6,441m), South Annapurna (7,219m), Annapurna I (7,219m), Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli ( 5,665m), Singu Chuli/Fluted Peak (6,501m), Gangapurna (7,544m), Gandharwa Chuli (6,248m), Machhapuchhre /Fishtail (6,997m) and Mardi Himal (5,553m). You will fell be in another planet while get in Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) or know as Annapurna Sanctuary.  An amazing of snow capped mountains are surrounding around you. After explore at ABC, you will walk back to MBC, Deurali retrace the trail to the Siwa. Then drive back to Pokhara by Taxi or Jeep and next day drive back to Kathmandu for your home destination.

Day 01 : Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m) – 25 to 30 munities & drive to Siwa (1230m) via Nayapul (1010m) – 2 ½ to 3 hours & Trek to Chommrong (2140m) - 4 to 5 hoursOur trekking guide will come to the hotel in the morning, and drive to airport for the Pokhara flight. The flight will be providing earliest where as possible. Your will enjoy your 25 to 30 munities flight with stunning scenery of snow capped mountains view, green hills, rivers and villages. The right side window seats would be best to sets in the plane for the mountains scenery. Pokhara is a beautiful valley with panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail), Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Then, drive to Siwa (1230m) via Phedi, Kande, Naudanda, Lumle, Nayapul, Birethanti, Syauli Bazaar, this will be 2 to 3 hours drive by private transportation. Now your ABC short trek begins from Siwa. The trail follows the Modi Khola bank until New Bridge, you will meet some trekking coming back from ABC and some are coming down from Gandruk from Ghorepani and some are heading Annapurna Base Camp from Landruk village. Often, we will see beautiful Hiuchuli Mountain just ahead in our trail. You may see new bridge this time too, due to most of the time the flood sweep way bridge at Modi Khola. That,s why this place call new bridge. After about 1 to 1 ½ hours ascends through the jungle, we will have lunch in Jhinu Danda. Meanwhile, you may visit to the hot spring 30 mutinies walking distance from here. Then we will get in Chommrong after one hours climb through the stone steps observing amazing landscape and rice trace. We will stay overnight at tea house.

Day 02 : Trek Chommrong to Himalaya (2920m) - 7 to 8 hours The trail descends down a stone staircase to the Chhomrong Khola and we continue climbing to small village named Sinuwa (2340m). The trail leads us through the dense forest further on. Then the route travels very steeply down a rock bank through thick bamboo at the bottom of the gorge to Bamboo. And after lunch we go up along the Modi Khola forest to the Dovan. All the way we will climb through serene bamboo and rhododendron mixed forests nearby the Himalayan Hotel. Stay overnight at tea house.

Day 03 : Trek Himalaya to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) - 3 to 4 hours, & visit Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) back to MBC- 3 to 4 hours Today is risk of snow avalanches during spring in the area that we need to cross in the next morning. his area, known as Hinko cave, was used for porter’s shelter in previous time. We then continue to Deurali. On the ridge above Hinko is the stretch of trail that is subject to avalanches. The trail leads us into the heart of the Sanctuary at the Annapurna Base Camp for our overnight stay. The trail goes uphill for few hours passing some roofless shepherds huts along the side of a moraine - this area is windy and often snowbound. The trail climbs on past the Machhapuchre Base Camp (3,700m), which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted. From here to Annapurna Base Camp, we’ll walk upon 2 hours of trail offering wonderful Himalaya scenery like: Hiunchuli (6,441m), South Annapurna (7,219m), Annapurna I (7,219m), Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli ( 5,665m), Singu Chuli/Fluted Peak (6,501m), Gangapurna (7,544m), Annapurna III (7,219m)-only can see from MBC, Gandharwa Chuli (6,248m) and Machhapuchhre /Fishtail (6,997m). Day 04 : Trek Machhapuchre Base Camp to Jhinu Danda /hot spring (1780m) - 8 to 9 hours After breakfast we drop down to Bamboo, collecting boundless experiences. This morning we glimpse sunrise and the last evening sunset over Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna Fangs. The unobstructed views of mountain scenery, which is very spectacular as it’s totally surrounded by mountains. We know come to know why this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. After having spent a great time here, we retrace the journey back to Jhinu Danda /hot spring for the overnight stay. The trail follows the same route until Chommrong. Once we have passed Khuldighar there is an experimental sheep farm, the trail continues through rhododendron and bamboo forests with majestic mountains scenery, especially Mt. Machhapuchhre. From the ancient Gurung village Chomrong, the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu hot springs. Stay overnight at tea house.

Day 05 : Trek Jhinu Danda (Hot spring) to Siwa (1230m) /Syauli Bazaar (1220m) – 3 to 4 hours, drive to Pokhara (950m) 2 ½ to 3 hours In the morning you will visit Hot Spring /Tatopani beside the Modi Khola river bank, where you can bathe in natural hot springs, walking only 20 minutes from Jhinu Danda. Then back to teahouse for breakfast and the trail for today first descends to the Komrong Khola and gets New Bridge, where you fallow the river bank and through the forest to the Siwa (1,230m) through Kyum. We will drive Siwa/ Syauli Bazaar to Pokhara by Jeep or Taxi, it takes 3 to 4 hours. Here we see many others trekkers as well, who are coming from Ghandruk after visit Ghorepani Poon Hill. Stay at Pokhara for overnight.

Day 06 : Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus - 6 to 7 hours or by flight 20 munities Pokhara to Kathmandu We should be ready by 6:00 in morning in hotel lobby in order to have breakfast or seek advice from your trekking guide. We will drive back to Kathmandu through on the main road passing terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, and high hills. It takes about 7 hours (conditional) to reach your hotel in Kathmandu. If you are interested to fly from Pokhara to Katmandu (bear in mind the extra cost of the plane tickets) please request Nepal Mother House Trekking to book your flight ticket in advance. It takes about 30 minutes flying time with spectacular views of the Himalayas, high hills, terraces, local settlements, and forests. This can indeed make it worth flying. Today is day of ending your journey, so we would like offer you farewell program hand over you Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for memory of Nepal trip. Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until departure flight/drive. Our assist will be transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination, taking with you the memory of a life time.

Few things are worth arranging while you are at home. Please note down these list details before your departure, this tips will help to make your trip enjoyable:

  • Read travel advice, inform yourself before travelling and get advice locally when you arrive.
  • Make sure your passport valid date during your travel and consult about visa processing.
  • Estimate your budget and fixed holiday period then chose suitable destination.
  • Note down travel check list before leave home and preparer accordingly.
  • Inform your friend and family about your trip and itinerary details.
  • Make copies of your important documents as a backup in case you lose the originals.
  • Buy Guide book and study about Nepal’s general information (culture, custom, political, people, geography, weather, festival, religion, rule and regulation).
  • Buy insurance which will cover all overseas medical, emergency evacuation costs.
  • Batter to know at list few Nepali words while traveling in Nepal.
  • Make reservations with advance payment, especially during peak season, for trip, accommodations and local guides.
  • Call your bank for debit- and credit-card to let them know about fees and your travel destination. Get your bank’s emergency phone number if you have a problem.
  • Visit the doctor for your health report and take medicine and vaccine accordingly.
  • Remember, the local laws apply to you as a visitor and it is your responsibility to follow them.
  • Be sensitive to local customs, traditions and practices as your behavior may be seen as improper, hostile or even illegal.
  • Never step over anyone feet/legs, and pull in your own legs when somebody wants to pass.
  • Never touch anybody with your feet, also never point in a direction using your feet. The feet are considered the most impure parts of the body.
  • When entering a house, somebody's kitchen, temple or monastery take off your shoes.
  • As a woman you should always be dressed avoiding provocation, so keep shoulders and legs covered.
  • It is very polite to give and accept with your right hand, and even more so when you use your left hand for supporting the elbow of your right hand.
  • When in doubt how to behave in certain situations; keep a low profile, do not shout and keep your dignity.
  • It is better not to touch offerings or persons when they are on way to shrines.
  • Beef is prohibited among both the Hindus and Buddhists. No female animal is killed for food.
  • You may not be allowed entry to the inner sanctuaries of temples and Stupas.
  • You may be interested to take snaps of temples, Stupas and monuments. Generally temples, Stupas and monuments are permitted to be photographed, but it is better to have permission before using your cameras.
