The trip starts from Sankhu after 45 munities drive from Thamel. Then it goes through the bank of holy river Salinadi and rice trace, jungle and village. Day 03:Drive Kathmandu to Sankhu (1350m) – 45 minutes to 1 hour and trek to Nagarkot (2156 m) -6 to 7 hours

Day 04:Nagarkot to Chngunarayan -3 to 4 hours and drive to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur Durbar -2 hours

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu.Upon arrival at international airport, meet assistance and transfer to the Hotel located at Thamel, take rest and relax for the afternoon.

Day 02 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing pre- Treks (1350m) On this first day you will explore historical and spiritual attractions; including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square; the House of Living Goddess “Kumari” and Kasthamandup temple” (said to have been built from a single tree in 16th century), Big bell-Big drams, Erotic wood-carvings in old temples and palaces, etc., Bouddhanath; one of the largest Stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; situated on top of the hill known as the Monkey Temple, it is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world, which has been registered as an UNESCO heritage side. Pasupatinath; a holy place for Hindus, with Sadhus and pilgrims bathing, and occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats, located on the holy Bagmati river. After dinner you will be able to stroll along the busy street of Kathmandu city center. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Drive Kathmandu to Sankhu (1350m) – 45 minutes to 1 hour and trek to Nagarkot (2156 m) -6 to 7 hours After having breakfast a Nepal Mother House Treks Guide picks up you from the hotel. We will get in Shankhu after less than an hour of car driving. The traditional Newari settlement still retains its medieval character with narrow streets, public squares, including tiered temples, old houses, woodcarved windows and stone water taps and rest houses. The Vajrayogini temple complex constructed in the mid 17th Century is located on the flanks of the hills 1.5 km north of Sankhu. The main tiered temple dedicated to the tantric goddess Vajrayogini, and is surrounded by several monuments and freestanding statues which you may visit. The Vajrayogini temple complex has been maintained in its original state. Then the trail goes through the popular holy “Salinadi” river bank, and through the rice terraces, arriving at a popular view point, Nagarkot, before ascending into the jungle. After reaching Nagarkot you can enjoy the sunset view and its offer of magnificent and panoramic views of many Himalayan ranges including the 8,848 meters Mt. Everest. Among many incredible beauties of Nagarkot, the Sunrise and Sunset views over the mountains are one of the best. Stay overnight at Luxury Star hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 04 : Nagarkot to Chngunarayan -3 to 4 hours and drive to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur Durbar -2 hours The trek from Nagarkot to Changunarayan takes approximately 3 to 4 hours drive from Changunarayan to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and it takes 2 hours and 45 minutes explore around Durbar complex. The most popular walk leads down from Nagarkot along a ridge to the temple of Changu Narayan-with views of Sankhu village to the right and Bhaktapur to the left. Changunarayan is situated at the end of a long ridge which runs well into the valley, and it is an oldest temple in Valley said to have been built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings. There are still more remarkable sites; the one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley “Bhaktapur” is known as a Living Museum. Where, old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple's exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal.

Day 05 : Final Departure to your Destination In this pleasant day you may have full day at leisure to either relax at the hotel or explore the around Thamel. Today is the ending your journey, so we hand you a Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for memory of Nepal trip. Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives until departure flight/drive. Nepal Mother House Treks assist will be transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.

Few things are worth arranging while you are at home. Please note down these list details before your departure, this tips will help to make your trip enjoyable:

  • Read travel advice, inform yourself before travelling and get advice locally when you arrive.
  • Make sure your passport valid date during your travel and consult about visa processing.
  • Estimate your budget and fixed holiday period then chose suitable destination.

  • Visit the doctor for your health report and take medicine and vaccine accordingly.
  • Remember, the local laws apply to you as a visitor and it is your responsibility to follow them.
  • Be sensitive to local customs, traditions and practices as your behavior may be seen as improper, hostile or even illegal.
  • Never step over anyone feet/legs, and pull in your own legs when somebody wants to pass.
  • Never touch anybody with your feet, also never point in a direction using your feet. The feet are considered the most impure parts of the body.
  • When entering a house, somebody's kitchen, temple or monastery take off your shoes.
  • As a woman you should always be dressed avoiding provocation, so keep shoulders and legs covered.
  • It is very polite to give and accept with your right hand, and even more so when you use your left hand for supporting the elbow of your right hand.
  • When in doubt how to behave in certain situations; keep a low profile, do not shout and keep your dignity.
  • It is better not to touch offerings or persons when they are on way to shrines.
  • Beef is prohibited among both the Hindus and Buddhists. No female animal is killed for food.
  • You may not be allowed entry to the inner sanctuaries of temples and Stupas.
  • You may be interested to take snaps of temples, Stupas and monuments. Generally temples, Stupas and monuments are permitted to be photographed, but it is better to have permission before using your cameras.
